Key Responsibilities:

  • Azure Cloud Management: Assist in the deployment, management, and monitoring of Azure resources, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain Azure Bicep templates for deploying and managing cloud infrastructure, ensuring repeatability and consistency.
  • GitHub Actions: Write and manage GitHub Actions workflows to automate CI/CD pipelines, enabling smooth and efficient code deployment processes.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure that Azure environments adhere to security best practices and compliance standards, assisting in regular audits and the implementation of security policies.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support for cloud-related issues, collaborating with  the development team to troubleshoot and resolve problems in the Azure environment.
  • Automation: Assist in automating routine tasks using shell scripts, improving efficiency and reducing manual work.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all cloud-based systems, configurations, and processes.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest Azure technologies and best practices, and actively engage in training and development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or similar entry-level Azure certifications preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in cloud computing, IT, or related fields.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in writing GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation.
    • Ability to write and manage Azure Bicep templates for Infrastructure as Code.
    • Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts, particularly with Microsoft Azure.
    • Familiarity with Azure services such as VMs, storage and networking.
    • Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
    • Understanding of networking principles (DNS, Firewalls, Load Balancers).
    • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
    • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience with containerisation technologies like Docker and container orchestration using Kubernetes.
    • Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments and hands-on experience in securing applications and infrastructure.
    • Understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
